Admissions Procedures

All admission are handled by the Barking and Dagenham Admission Team.

Manor Junior School is very popular and extremely over-subscribed due to our high standards. We always have an extensive waiting list and LBBD is responsible for making sure pupils are admitted in strict order of their admission criteria.

For pupils transferring from infant schools, there is a programme of visits arranged for the summer term. Teachers from the feeder schools work alongside our teachers to support an extensive transition programme.

More information about applying for a place from an infant school to junior school, can be found on the Barking and Dagenham admissions website.

Intake from other schools

We warmly welcome applications in any year group, you may book a visit to ensure we are the most suitable school for your child.

All applications must be completed via the LBBD Admissions Team.

Transition Programme

We know that it is important for our new families and their children to feel secure about the adventure that lies ahead for them at MJS. We therefore offer a comprehensive transition programme that enables us to find out all about your child.

Every family who becomes a member of the MJS community attends an in-depth meeting with a member of staff, followed by a tour of the school.

Please note that attendance at a primary or junior school does not guarantee a place at a particular secondary school.
